Please Click Here for information regarding Easter Revision Lessons

Dear Parent/Carer,

As we approach the end of the Spring Term I would like to share some of the highlights of this “snow shortened” term and also inform you of the arrangements for the end of this term/start of next term.

  • We were finally able to hold our first Key Stage 3 Ball on 14th February, superbly organised by our Year 11 senior students. It was a fantastic evening with great talent shown on the dance floor by staff and students alike. We look forward to potentially running a similar event in the summer term.
  • Our annual production took place despite unprecedented staff absence. This year saw us showcasing talent from all year groups, including former students performing hits from a wide range of musicals. The talent on display was awe inspiring, under the excellent direction of Mrs. Tomlinson.
  • March saw another huge array of talent on display in our Annual Dance Festival. Two fantastic evenings of such professionalism made us all very proud. As usual the staff dance left us open mouthed and speechless.
  • Year 11 have been working extremely hard this term as the actual GCSEs edge closer. The commitment of student to learning and attendance at revision has been outstanding. A separate letter about revision classes available over Easter will be sent out this week.
  • Our work as part of the Dudley Academies Trust is moving forward rapidly. A significant part of this involves developing the curriculum for 2018/19 to ensure all students make rapid progress. In order to support this, all of the MAT schools will be involved in a training day on Monday 16th April 2018. This means that term will start for students on Tuesday 17th April 2018.

Finally, this term will finish on Thursday 29th March at 3.00 p.m. This day will be a mufti day when students pay £1.00 to wear non school uniform. This has been organised by our Year 11 Vice President, Lauren Bollans, who is continuing her outstanding fund raising for mental health charities.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a very happy Easter and send every good wish to Year 11 with their revision.

Would you please acknowledge you have read this letter by returning the slip below to your child’s form tutor.

Yours sincerely,

Headteacher
