What is taught?
Have you ever wondered what skills you need to be successful in business? Or have you ever wondered why shops seem to know exactly what you want and when you want it? Then you have come to the right place! The faculty of Business and Computing recognises the importance that business and business enterprise plays in everyday life. GCSE Business Studies builds on the Key Stage 3 IT and Enterprise curriculum allowing our students to get a deeper understanding of how the world of business works. Over 3 years our learners learn a range of skills from marketing and design to calculating if they have made a profit or a loss. GCSE Business gives our students some real-life business experience.
How is it taught?
Taught twice weekly over three years, learners get the opportunity to look at both building a business from scratch and maintaining a successful one. Our learners love the opportunity to apply their skills to companies that interest them. This mixture really makes Business Studies a unique subject!
