Summer School
Summer School 2021 (02/08/21 to 06/08/21)
Last updated: 02/07/21
The safety of all our learners, staff and the community is of the highest importance and as you know, the decision was taken to cancel our Transition Week this year.
In place of our transition days, we are running a free summer school programme commencing on Monday 2nd August for all Year 6 into Year 7 learners. The summer school programme aims to provide fun activities and enable learners to experience a transition programme where they would not otherwise have had the opportunity.
You will shortly receive a sign-up form via Weduc forms to sign up to the summer school programme. Places are available for the whole year group, however we request prompt confirmation of your place to ensure we can confirm staffing availability.
Following recent Department of Education (DfE) guidance, we can confirm that the wearing of face masks or coverings is not compulsory, however we do recommend this where possible to reduce any potential transmission COVID-19. In line with DfE guidance, there is no requirement for year 6 learners to complete lateral flow testing as is currently the case in primary schools, however this is again available to you if you so wish. Test kits can be ordered from the Gov.uk website to be delivered to your home address.
